Who?
Viktor Frankl was a holocaust survivor. He was born on March 26, 1905 and died on September 2, 1997. He has 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He had been in the concentration main camps of Theresienstadt, Auschwitz, and Dachau and wrote his Biography on happiness and how you can be happy in the worst situations.
Why?
The reason that I picked Viktor Frankl was that I had heard about him my entire life and was fascinated that he was happy with all of the crap that was going on around him. He is just an incredible person and he has been a big role model in my life on being happy.
Viktor: Hey, you over there. Could you help this kind man?
Guard: Don’t talk to me. Viktor: Please, this kind man next to me, he is dying of dehydration and starvation, could you give him some sort of food or water please? Guard: I don’t care about you, you are meaningless. (Walking Away) Viktor: Don’t worry kind man, I will get you some food and water, there is always a way for everything. Kind Man: Thank you. Viktor: Everything will turn out okay, just go to bed and I will find you something to eat and drink. |
